Duties
Position Purpose
To gain practical experience and exposure in a position of responsibility and to prove that his education, training, experience and professional development have enabled him to discharge, in full, the responsibilities of a Property Management Professional. The opportunity exposes candidates to the operations, control, maintenance and oversight of real estate and physical property.
Position Outputs
As a Young-Professional-In-Training, your responsibilities include shadowing various staff members, participating in learning experiences, attending meetings and workshops, and traveling to other working environments to gain practical experience on the following deliverables: • Tenant Management • Lease Management • Property Marketing Management • Facilities Management • Billing and Credit Control • Non Gross Lettable Area (Non-GLA) Management • Risk Management • Performance Management, Talent Management and Capacity Building • Employee Wellness, Change Management and Culture Building • HR System & Governance & Employee Relations
Undertake various projects aligned to the outcomes of this programme, and further lead and contribute to initiatives and programmes in both property and facilities management including: • Contract Management • Maintenance Management • Engineering Management • Facilities Management • Environmental Management • Space Management • Health & Safety Compliance • Utilities Management • Security Management
KNOWLEDGE: Among the theoretically underpinnings, the candidate is required to have some basic understanding of the following disciplines and how they operate with property management: • Real Estate Principles • Economics • Financial Modelling • Project Management • Market Analysis • Real Estate Finance • Real Estate Investments • Real Estate Law • Real Estate Valuation • Real Estate Management • Research and Professional Skills • Real Estate Management • Innovation • Entrepreneurship • Communication skills • Analytical skills • Stakeholder management • Data analytics and management

Requirements for Eligibility
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant tertiary Qualification (NQF 6/7) Bachelor of Science or Commerce in Property Studies, Property Valuation, or other Real Estate Related Stream or Information Management, Data Science or Finance.. • National Diploma in real estate studies (NQF 6) are encouraged. Postgraduate Studies are an added advantage • Some vocational experience would be an added advantage • A positive attitude and a growth mindset is an absolute.
