Brief description
The South African ReserveBank (SARB) invitesall passionate, innovative and talented applicants to apply for its 2025 Information Technology Internship (Grow-IT). The SARB actively contributes to addressing scarceand critical skillsthrough this programme.
Grow-IT aims to address the current and future skills needs of the SARB’s Business Solutions and Technology Department (BSTD) in response to the departmental strategy and workforce planning. This includes capacity and capability building, succession planning and growing future talent in the department. During the programme, interns will acquire the required technical and behavioural competencies based on their areas of specialisation.
Format of the programme:
Successful applicants will be placed within the information technology (IT) environment to acquire all the required competencies. The duration of the programme is a one-year contract (the Bank reserves the right to extend the contract, based on the performance of the learner).

Requirements for Eligibility
To be considered for this internship, candidates must:
- have a National Diploma (NQF 6) in IT, Computer Systems Engineering or a degree (NQF 7) in Informatics (BCom or BSc), Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Software Engineering or Statistics;
- be a South African citizen;
- be between the ages of 18 and 35 years; and
- be curious, self-motivated and innovative.
Candidates are requested to indicate their field(s) of specialisation or preference(s) in any of the following fields:
- Data Engineering

- Microsoft Cloud/DaaS
- Open Text/AppWorks
- Data Centre Operations
