Duties
Komatsu South Africa has an opportunity for a Finance/ Accounting graduate intern to join the Finance Department at our Head office in Germiston. This internship offers exposure in various aspects of accounting, taxation, finance, compliance, and strategy. The ideal candidate is self driven, motivated, and enthusiastic with strong qualitative skills and ready to take on challenges and contribute to the finance team.
- Assist in daily accounting tasks, including data entry, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Help prepare financial reports, statements, and analyses under the guidance of senior finance team members.
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with established accounting standards and regulations.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist in various administrative tasks within the finance department.
- Utilize accounting software and tools to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Engage in special projects and ad-hoc assignments to support the finance team’s objectives.
- Drafting financial models for finance agreements and investor pitches
- Contributing to tax calculations, for both national and international organizations
Requirements for Eligibility
- Grade 12.
- BCom Degree with Accounting/ Internal Audit/ Tax/ Compliance.
EXPERIENCE:
- No experience required (Trainee position for graduates)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Exposure in a finance and accounting enivorment (an added advantage)
