Duties

  • Conceptualize and produce creative digital content
  • Creates digital design concepts including sketches, wireframes or digital mock-ups based on business strategy, interactive design, industry best practices, and company analytics.
  • Create graphics, animations tiles and banners additional creative elements for campaigns including cross-over with each website as necessary
  • Design and redesign computer graphics, web page graphics, logos, illustrations, advertisements, brochures, and many other forms of visual communication.
  • Design for Social Media Platforms, Emailers, Website Banners, Google Display and Mobile banners and app banners.
  • Oversee and manage design work produced by suppliers & agency.
  • Ensure consistency in designs and content across all company platforms
  • Design inline to Dis-Chem CI
  • Research and present new design trends for our Digital Platforms.
  • Create quick animations for Social Media Platforms (gifs, short videos

Email Marketing:

  • Design & update email templates and wireframes.
  • Building the email in HTML & CSS.
  • Create & manage master database, targeting queries and feeding lists.
  • Create trackable links for the emailer.
  • Send tests & make sure email works on all digital platforms.
  • Scheduling & managing email sends. 

Web Design:

  • Design visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
  • Incorporating functionalities and features into websites
  • Design landing page and build with HTML & CSS.
  • Research in best practises and web trends. 

Customer Service:

  • Respond to emails in a professional tone as well as answer phone messages from both their clients and suppliers in 24 hours or less.
  • Source best practice and latest trends in digital design.
  • Update the Traffic Coordinator daily on job statuses.

General:

  • Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.

  • MIE, clear criminal and credit
  • Driver’s license and/or own reliable transport
  • May be required to work overtime when signing of promotions, or when required to do so.

Requirements for Eligibility

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Diploma or Degree in Web Design
  • Minimum 0-1 year experience in Design environment

Advantageous:

  • Degree UX design
  • Experience in retail marketing
  • Experience in Magento Platform.
  • Experience in UX Design
